The essentials of mixer debugging in KTV.Anshun Bar Audio(图1)

KTV debugging master the correct switch sequence

Before the mixer is turned on, each attenuation fader should be placed in the Z-small position to prevent the surge voltage from impacting the sound source processing equipment and power amplifier equipment.

KTV debugging Turn on the power of the mixer, according to the order of "small signal first, then large signal", turn on the power of the sound source and peripheral equipment in turn, and then turn on the power of the power amplifier. Before powering off, pull each attenuation fader to the Z smallest position, and at the same time adjust the power amplifier level adjustment knob to Z smallest, according to the order of "turn off the large signal first, then turn off the small signal", turn off the power amplifier power and mixer in turn. power supply and other equipment power.

  Choose the appropriate input level

The PAD fixed value attenuation key should be used in conjunction with the GAIN gain control knob to adjust the input level. If the signal level is too large, such as CD, ID, VCD, DVD player, dual deck and other high-level audio sources, the PAD button must be pressed to ensure that the signal level does not exceed the dynamic range of the input level. normal working condition. When the input level is between -60dB, you can adjust the appropriate gain through the GAIN knob. For example, if the sound source is a low-sensitivity dynamic microphone (sensitivity is -55dB), you don't need to press down the PAD button, and you can set the GAIN knob to the corresponding position of -55dB. If it is a high-sensitivity condenser microphone (sensitivity is -35--45dB), the GAIN knob can be placed at the corresponding position of -35--45dB to make the input level appropriate, and the distortion and noise at this time are the lowest of. Generally speaking, don't touch it after adjusting GAIN in fixed occasions. Never change the volume by adjusting GAIN.

Correctly adjust input level and input gain for KTV debugging

The sub-level fader and input gain control should be properly coordinated. For example, if the sub-fader is too low and the gain is too large, when a large signal is input, the sub-fader has no lowering margin, which will easily cause overload; When the fader is pushed, it will have serious consequences of damaging the post-stage audio amplifier and audio speakers. The correct adjustment method is:

  (a) At the beginning, both the sub-fader and the gain knob are turned to Z-min.

  (b) Adjust the sub-fader to about 70% (no more than the main fader).

  (c) Slowly turn the gain knob to the position before the CLIP light does not flash. If the input channel is connected to a microphone signal, turn the gain knob, and when the microphone is about to produce howling, then turn it back a little in the direction of low level, which is the appropriate position. Never change the volume by adjusting the input gain. The overload distortion or signal-to-noise ratio caused by this will not be compensated by the post-stage. To change the signal strength of this channel, that is, the volume, the fader of this channel should be adjusted at ordinary times.
