What material is the speaker magnet
At present, there are two main types of speaker magnets on the market, one is conventional ferrite, and the other is NdFeB magnet. JSL produces YT, AEC, DS, JY, ES and other series of speakers with versatile ferrite, while ONKYO LYQ LY NDX HY XDEC HB and other series of speakers are mainly small in size and high in power, so they mainly use NdFeB magnets.
In fact, the early speakers mostly used magnesium-nickel-cobalt (alinco) alloy magnets, which have the advantages of high strength and easy prevention of magnetic field hysteresis. Unfortunately, the manufacturing cost is getting higher and higher, and manufacturers are forced to use iron oxide magnets, also known as ceramic magnets. It also has a fairly high magnetic force, but requires large blocks, some woofers have magnets weighing 20 to 30 pounds, and the magnetic field is highly dissipative, and must be carefully controlled when used in flood-proof locations.
