How to Arrange the Speakers

　　Loudspeakers, which we call "speakers" every day, are commonly used electro-acoustic transducers. The performance of the loudspeaker has a great influence on the sound quality. By arranging it, we can improve our experience of sound quality.

　　There are several ways to arrange the speakers:

　　1. Centralized layout: The speakers are centrally arranged on both sides of the stage. Its advantages are actually convenient and practical, simple connection, less wires, accurate sound orientation, and natural sound reinforcement.

　　2. Distributed arrangement: Install a number of ceiling speakers on the ceiling in a decentralized way, or install a number of speakers on the wall, behind the seat, etc. Note that the speaker should be selected with sharp directivity, and its distribution range should be limited. It is better to have a low ceiling when using in-ceiling speakers. Its advantages are to improve the direct sound ratio, the sound pressure distribution is uniform, and it is not easy to cause howling, but its disadvantage is that the sound direction is poor.

　　3. Centralized and decentralized layout: The centralized layout is the main method, and the decentralized layout is supplemented. Music, cinema, etc. need the sound with accurate sound direction to use the centralized playback, and the language sound reinforcement is to use the decentralized playback. The advantage is that it combines the advantages of centralized and decentralized, and its disadvantage is that the system is complex and the cost is high.

　　4. Linear array: Linear array speakers are designed for large-scale outdoor performances. Recently, a small product is suitable for indoor use. It is characterized by sharp directivity, the vertical radiation angle of each speaker is only 10 to 30 degrees, and the angle of the speaker can be adjusted precisely, and the attenuation per multi-range is as small as 3dB.

　　It is worth noting that:

　　When arranging the speakers, the direct sound of the sound should be directly obtained in the listening area. Under normal circumstances, hanging speakers is the best way to obtain direct sound in the room. Adjust the angle of inclination to avoid affecting the high-pitched listening effect. The horizontal line of the speaker should be positioned so that its tweeter axis is at the level of the listener's ear.

　　Speakers should be placed in a symmetrical position in the center of the room. Only by achieving the consistency of architectural symmetry and acoustic symmetry, can an ideal, harmonious and symmetrical sound field be provided for the interior.
